Day I : Delhi
On arriving in Delhi, you wil meet the tour representataive of IHPL who will help you in getting transferred to the hotel. rest of the day is free for leisure activities.
Day 2 : Delhi
Book the ful day 2 fora sightseeing tour of the city. In the morning visit Old Delhi.while going to Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat. Visit New Delhi in the afternoon where you visit Humayun's Tomb, Jantar Mantar, Qutab Minar, India Gate and President House. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.Day 3 : Delhi - Agra - Varanasi
Today hit the road to go to Agra (203 kms / 4 Hrs). After you reach, in the afternoon take a sightseeing tour of Agra, visiting Taj Mahal. In the evening take an overnight train for Varanasi. (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays)
Day 4 : Varanasi - Sarnath - Varanasi
You arrive in Varanasi,l early morning. Check-in at hotel and after you freshen up, yopu go too Sarnath –(the place where Lord Buddha preached his first Sermon in 590 BC.) Embark on the city’s sightseeing tour, visiting Ghats, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Gyanvyapi Mosque, Durga Temple, Banaras Hindu University, Ram Nagar, Fort and Museum. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 : Varanasi - Bodhgaya
Day 5 is booked for boat-ride on the River Ganges. Now leave by road for Bodhgaya (242 kms / 6-7 Hrs)( the place where Gautama attained enlightenment and became Buddha under the "Bodhi" tree Satabodhi Temple). Staying overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Bodhgaya
The day is booked for temples visits in Bodhgaya wherein you will go to Mahabodhi Temple, Animesh Locan Chaiyata, Mohanta's Monastery, Thai Temple and The Burmese Temple. Thereafter, visit monuments such as - Tibetan Monastery, International Buddhist House, Buddhist Monastery of Bhutan, The Chinese Temple & Monastery, Bodhi Tree and Archaeological Museum.
Day 7 : Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Patna
Leave for Patna today, (157 kms / 4-5 Hrs) on the way visiting Rajgir & Nalanda. In the 6th century, Rajgir was the capital of Magadha Empire and was revered site of Buddha's discourses. Buddha spent many years here. Established in the 5th century, Nalanda is the oldest university of the world.Staying overnight at the hotel in Patna.
Day 8 : Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar
In the morning, take the road to travel to Kushinagar (253 kms / 8 hrs) wherein en-route, you can visit Vaishali -(55 kms from Patna) Lord Buddha had talked about attaining Mahaparinirvana here (enlightment). Also pay a visit Ashokan Pillar. After arriving in Kushinagar where in the afternoon you visit different temples and stupas). (Kushinagar is where Buddha passed into Maha-Parinirvana).. Staying in the hotel for the night.
Day 9 : Kushinagar - Lumbini - Sravasti
Take the road route for Lumbini(a few kilometres inside Nepal). (170 kms / 4-5 Hrs) . it is the birthplace of Buddha. Take a sightseeing tour of Lumbini and then proceed towards for Sravasti by road (225 kms / 6 hrs). Once you arrive there, get transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day l0 : Saravasti - Sahet & Mahet - Lucknow - Delhi
On the morning of Day 10, you will be visiting Sahet and Mahet (the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Kosala). Sravasti has a number of places that you can pay a visit to,. in this place, Buddha had resided for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana Vihar, visit Anand Bodhi tree, age-old stupas, majestic monasteries and numerous other temples. (They say that Buddha had performed some miracles here). You can spend the afternoon in doing activites of your interest. In the evening, get transferred too Gonda Railway Station (40 kms) in order to catch a train to Delhi. You will spend the night on board.Day 11 : Day at leisure
Once you arrive at the railway station of Delhi, you are picked-up by our representative You are free for rest of the day to do some shopping. In the evening you are transfer to the international airport for catching a connecting flight for your onward destination.
